Launch by chapters (one realm at a time)
Chapter timeline
Source: docs/25. Proposed order; target pace of one chapter every 6 to 9 months.
Owner's decision (10/26/2026): the official launch opens one "country" of the world. The other zones, with their lands, arrive later in updates. That way each part of the world is made with time and care, instead of 1,120 km² of shallow content all at once.
Why it works
- Quality per km²: the cost of an MMO is in content per area (enterable buildings, quests, NPCs, events). A dense, living realm holds players better than an empty continent (
20§1). - Full world: the population stays concentrated; the early "ghost world" risk drops.
- News rhythm: each chapter is an event with a trailer, new land to explore, new lands for sale and the map growing. It's the model of WoW and FFXIV expansions and Albion and Lost Ark seasons, but without resetting the character.
- Calibrated economy: each chapter brings new lands and resources in proportion to the real population, instead of calculating everything before having data.
- The story justifies it: the borders are closed by the Pale Mist (
20§6) and by the seas; each chapter is the moment the mist recedes or a route opens. The game map shows the not-yet-opened lands as "lands in the mist", which generates curiosity.
The chapters (proposal)
| Chapter | Opens | New features | What holds the chapter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha (Phase 3) | 4×4 km block around Lumen (16 km²) | Base of everything | Closed test, test currency |
| 1. The Realm of Lumen (official launch) | Vale de Lumen (Lumen Valley), Bosque Alto (High Forest), Costa das Marés (Tide Coast) and Mina Velha (Old Mine) (~4 blocks, ~64 km²) | Capital, hanging cities, port, first ferries, scheduled PvP | The sea stays as a horizon; the mist closes off the rest of the Continent |
| 2. The Forests and the Crater | Bosque Antigo (Ancient Forest), Cordilheira Cinzenta (Gray Range), Cratera de Vaelor (Vaelor Crater) and the first Profundezas (Depths) | Full magic (the 5 sources), mines, first raid | The mist recedes in the north and east of the Continent |
| 3. Overseas: Esmeralda | Selva de Esmeralda (Emerald Jungle), Arquipélago das Brumas (Archipelago of Mists), southern islands | Own boat, diving, Nereia (submerged city), hard-to-reach places (Planalto Suspenso) | Opens the route of the Strait |
| 4. The Eastern Lands | Planícies do Vento (Plains of Wind), Terras do Lamento (Lands of Lament), Ermos de Brasa (Ember Wastes), Cânions Rubros (Red Canyons) | the Wandering City, volcanoes, desert, new contested zones | Ferry and airship across the Mar Interior (Inner Sea) |
| 5. The Frozen North | Geleiras de Hrim (Glaciers of Hrim), Taiga dos Lobos (Wolf Taiga), Mar Gelado (Frozen Sea) | Winter ice crossing, Pico do Mundo | The Mar Gelado freezes for the first time |
| 6. The Sky | Ilhas Celestes (Celestial Islands) and Celéstia | Flying mounts, flight with wings (36), airship routes up high |
Last chapter of the current vision |
The order is a proposal: chapter 3 (sea and jungle) may come before 2 if the boat is what players ask for most. The target pace is one chapter every 6–9 months, with small updates in between (season events, festivals, new dungeons inside the realms already open).
Rules so the model doesn't break
- Nothing is sold before it exists. Land from a new chapter is only distributed when the chapter opens. No pre-sale of land, NFT, or paid "early access".
- New land without a rush by the rich: each chapter opens its plots in waves (for example, 3 waves over 6 weeks), with a lottery among verified accounts that signed up, a cap per account and per clan per chapter and the rules of
15(real use, Harberger, proven activity). Those who already have plots at the limit don't enter the lottery. - Old realms don't die: level scaling in PvE (
20§2.4), exclusive resources and recipes in each realm, events that return to old realms, and old cities as trade centers. No chapter makes the previous one's equipment useless: horizontal progression with a power cap (17). - Veterans and newcomers together: whoever arrives late starts in the Realm of Lumen with the same game; mentoring (
24§5) rewards those who help beginners. - No rush on opening day: "first to discover" rewards are cosmetics and titles; no power or land for whoever arrives first.
- Technology prepared from the start: the whole map is planned now (
20), and each chapter is a set of 4×4 km blocks that enters the server without redoing the previous ones (05).
Proof of concept and launch
- Phase 1 (proof of concept, zero cost): a small city inside the Lumen block.
- Alpha: the 16 km² block.
- Official launch: Chapter 1, the Realm of Lumen.
